Nalan Gelirli, a highly accomplished individual in the field of Civil Aviation Management, currently holds the esteemed position of Assistant Professor and Head of the Civil Aviation Management Department at Cyprus Science University (CSU) in North Cyprus (TRNC). She has been a distinguished member of the CSU faculty since the year 2022. Prior to this, from 2018 to 2022, she had held the same position at the University of Kyrenia in North Cyprus (TRNC).

With a vast knowledge and profound expertise in the airline industry, Gelirli initiated her professional journey as a Data Control and Analysis Specialist at Turkish Airlines A.O. in the year 1995. During her tenure, she also served as a Revenue Specialist in the Production Planning and Revenue Management Department and as a Lead Auditor in the Flight Safety Quality Assurance Department. Her astute knowledge and proficient understanding of airline operations and regulations continued to thrive as she held similar positions with other leading companies in the industry, such as MY Technic MRO, Atlas Global Airlines, and Pegasus Airlines.

Gelirli's academic background boasts a Ph.D. from Istanbul University and an undergraduate degree from Marmara University. Her research interests lie primarily in the field of airline management, ranging from theoretical design to practical implementation. As a seasoned researcher in the social and economic sciences, she has actively collaborated with experts from various other disciplines.

In the academic realm, it holds considerable significance for Gelirli to publish works related to aviation, which is a relatively scarce area of research in the field of Social Sciences. She was born in Berlin, Germany. Istanbul, Turkey, is her hometown where she grew up, and for the past five years, she has been residing in Northern Cyprus
