Aim & Scope

Applied Engineering and Technology (AET) is an international, scientific and peer-reviewed journal published by Mugla Sıtkı Koçman University, Faculty of Technology. AET has been prepared in accordance with the status of “Peer-Reviewed Journal” since 2022 and is published twice a year, in June and December. The journal, which accepts publications in English, covers the fields of engineering and technology studies.
Applied Engineering and Technology (AET) is an international scholarly refereed research journal which aims to promote the theory and practice of technology, innovation, and engineering.
The primary goal of the new journal is to maintain high quality of publications. There will be a commitment to expediting the time taken for the publication of the papers. The articles that are sent for reviews will have names of the authors deleted with a view towards enhancing the objectivity and fairness of the review process. From time to time, the journal will publish review articles and bring out special issues on a specific sub-field of engineering science.

Within the scope of Applied Engineering and Technology (AET), no fee is charged from the authors at any stage of the article evaluation process.
All of the articles sent to Applied Engineering and Technology (AET) are checked using the iThenticate plagiarism detection software, and in line with the similarity report determined by the software, the editorial board decides to send the article for peer review or directly reject it. Except for the highest bibliography accepted by the journal, the similarity rate is 15%. Articles exceeding this rate are examined in detail. If deemed necessary, it is sent back to the authors for revision or correction. If plagiarism is detected in the article, its publication is rejected.

All publication rights of the published studies belong to Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University. All legal responsibilities regarding the ideas and opinions contained in the studies published in the journal and the contents of the articles belong to the author(s).
